Welcome to EE (Evangelism Explosion NZ).

Helping Christians of all ages to share the good news of Jesus Christ confidently and effectively and become trainers of others so that churches are mobilised in outreach. EE is committed to excellence of Gospel presentation in the certainty that it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (Romans 1:16)

Coming Events North Island.

Coming Events South Island.

Targeted EE for Age Groups.

Equipping believers of all ages to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly, accurately and sensitively within the church and community.

Did You Know?

More than half the Christians in the world today came to faith in Christ under the age of 12 years.
These are age statistics:
6% accept Christ before age 6, 24% between 6-9 years old, 26% between 10-12 years old, 15% between 13-15 years old, 10% between 16-19 years old, 19% accept Christ at 20 or older.
It makes sense for churches to put their best resource into reaching children and youth.

Kids' EE.

Kids EEThe aim of Kids’ EE is to reach all children with the power of the gospel and see them become effective witnesses for Christ. It has three major purposes to:
* Equip adults to teach children the gospel,
* Clarify the gospel for children and bring them to a saving knowledge of Christ,
* Assist children to become witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kids’ EE teaches the basic message of the gospel in a format that is easy for children to understand. It uses interactive methods that tap into their varied learning styles, teaching them in a fun-filled way. There are songs, games, actions, drama, object lessons, toys, discussions and crafts. Auditory, visual, kinaesthetic and tactile learning styles are used. Children learn to share out of an enthusiastic overflow of their faith.

Kids' EE The Kids’ EE programme runs for 13 weeks in the local church or kids’ club. It can be easily adapted as a camp or holiday programme. It has also proved an effective tool for Bible in School teachers or leaders in Iconz or Girls’ Brigade.

Adults are trained in Kids’ EE by means of a 3-4 day training programmes called clinics. These are held regularly in local churches all over New Zealand (see Coming Events). Clinicians are given a manual complete with all lesson plans including craft activities, dramas etc. so they are able to implement the programme immediately.

Kids’ EE in New Zealand is best suited to 7-10 years olds although it may be extended in either age range direction. It is being successfully used in settings from pre-schoolers to retirement homes. It lends itself to a variety of settings and some Christian Schools have made it part of their curriculum in teaching the Christian faith e.g…… Bethlehem College in Tauranga and KingsWay College in Orewa. One church has used it in tandem with an Alpha Course; the adults going to Alpha while their children have Kids’ EE.

XEE. Sharing your faith starts here

Youth EE

Launched this year, XEE is an exciting new development in equipping people to witness.  It is a new refinement of the classic gospel presentation making it much more accessible to people of all ages but particularly to younger people (under 40). It revolutionizes training because of the extensive use of DVD and the internet enabling teachers to become facilitators and students to go on learning long after they've finished the course. They put what they have learned into action and share their experiences over the net with facilitator and fellow students alike.

Key Features

** 1. XEE provides two alternative gospel themes:
» LIFE NOW focuses on what it means for a person to have the life Jesus offers as abundant life, here and now but also forever.
» LIFE FOREVER focuses on how a person may know for certain that they have a relationship with God that lasts beyond death and into eternity

** 2. XEE training has three sections; CONNECT LIFE, SHARE LIFE and MULTIPLY
» CONNECT LIFE helps people to step out of their comfort zones, identify with people, to listen well and learn how to develop meaningful conversation and thus good relationships.
» SHARE LIFE trains people to have an interesting conversation, a meaningful dialogue through which the gospel is shared clearly and accurately. Each section begins with intriguing launch questions, has an absorbing story to give under-standing and key scriptures relate it to what the Bible teaches.
» MULTIPLY LIFE equips the witness to begin discipling the new believer, as well as handle life issues, train others and develop witnessing as a way of life.

** 3. XEE was developed with younger people in mind so features attractive graphics, teaching by DVD and internet connection and provides opportunities for insightful group discussions of ideas and thoughts

** 4. XEE is not teacher dependant, in fact the leader is a facilitator who leads the group through the course. It thus lends itself to a group setting such as a house or small group not so much for a classroom-style presentation. It is therefore a style and approach proving effective with Gen-X and Gen Y cultures.

Training workshops are available all over New Zealand and take two full days.

Classic EE.

Adult EE This is the standard Evangelism Explosion ministry. It been used to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ for over 40 years and is now found in every part of the world (all nations were reached in 1996).

EE is a ministry committed to equipping church members to share the gospel effectively one-to-one in a conversational style. It is designed to provide a tool that will help in five important ways:

* To build a bridge of friendship that enables you to move naturally from everyday secular conversation into spiritual areas.
* To proclaim the essentials of the gospel message sensitively, clearly and accurately, with plenty of opportunity for the listener to share in the conversation.
* To lead someone to place their faith in Christ with a clear understanding of the commitment they are making.
* To assist the new believer to begin developing a personal relationship with God through the Bible, Prayer, Worship, Fellowship and Witness.
* To equip the ordinary believer to handle basic objections to the gospel confidently, accurately and helpfully.

Training Method
You memorise a simple gospel outline based on the Book of Romans (in Oceania countries it is slightly different from that of EE International) and learn how to fit it to your contact’s need. ‘On-the-job’ training is done with an experienced trainer to develop effectiveness and confidence. Learning grows during the weekly outreach and pastoral ministry of the church.

Leadership Training can be done in either of two ways:

* In a Leadership Training Clinic where Ministers, Pastors and lay leaders are trained and equipped to develop the training course and ministry over five days in a church that uses and models EE. On return, they begin training over an eight or 16 week congregation course called “Sharing Jesus”.

OR

* An EE training team will come to your church to train leaders and church members together on the ‘home patch’ over two weekends of intensive training and on-the-job training.

The clinic is preferred because there leaders see EE in action in the host church and have the challenge and stimulation of meeting like-minded people.

A Leadership Training Clinic costs $250 per person in host church, $200 if done over two fortnights in the local area. This fee includes teaching, a full set of teaching and training resources, outreach materials and all meals during clinic time.

Through EE you can fulfill the vision of seeing people in your church regularly, naturally and accurately leading people to faith in Christ. Make Christ’s last command your first concern.

Seniors' EE.

Senior EE In suburban houses, retirement homes and hospitals are many people longing for others to show them love and concern. Worse still most are nearing the end of their lives without any confidence of having eternal life. Many seldom have a visitor. This ministry of Seniors’ EE can help fill a void of care for the elderly in our society that the church has often neglected.

The purpose of Seniors’ EE is to equip local churches to visit those who are confined by age and/or illness and minister to them through friendship, prayer, evangelism and discipleship.

This is not meant to be the sort of witnessing whereby people ‘descend’ on hospital patients, people in rest homes or people in their own homes, share the gospel and depart! No, it is designed so that a church and some of the members within it can form a dependable and life-long relationship with an elderly or sick person. Within that friendship, the message of eternal life can be shared and new believers nurtured in their faith. Especially when the elderly have little family support and seldom any visitors, the church can become their ‘family’. They are no longer cut off from Christian company and care. A church in South Auckland regularly gathers young and old together to celebrate the birthdays of these special new ‘family’ members. The whole intention is to minister in a sensitive and effective way.

Senior EE

Dementia and Witnessing
It is sometimes thought that people with dementia can no longer understand or respond to spiritual ministry. In recent years, it has been established that even though intellectual and physical functions are failing, a person’s spirit is still alive and can respond. These precious people can still be reached and with specific training by people experienced in this field, many more can understand the gospel and put their trust in Jesus Christ. The EE presentation can be stripped down to its essentials without losing its substance and power.

Training Events
Seniors’ EE Training Workshops are held regularly in the main centres (see Coming Events) or can be provided on request from churches who would like to have some of their members trained with this special tool. It is an advantage but not essential for those coming to the workshop to have already done Kids’ or Adult EE clinic training. If they have, they are then able immediately to start training others in their church in Seniors’ EE.

A workshop takes one day from 9 am – 4:30 pm and the cost is $45-00. This fee includes two workbooks, lunch and morning and afternoon tea.

Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

We must be cautious that we are not so taken up with going to the ends of the earth that we neglect those elderly people in our own backyard, our Jerusalem.
